It’s very disappointing………

Published by ndtii95 at 10:23 am under Uncategorized Edit This

It’s very disappointing that:

- one night after the Sabres put together a spirited 60 minute effort against the Capitals, they couldn’t find any passion until the game was over 40 minutes old when they had their playoff destiny firmly in their own hands!

- franchise goalie Ryan Miller gets wiped out by a Devils player, and Tim freaking Connolly has to be the player to come to his defense.  Not that I’m disappointed in Connolly - but where are the defensemen on that play……it’s THEIR job.  Well, at least it would be if the Sabres defense wasn’t Kleenex soft.

- after sitting in the press box for a wake-up call due to his recent slump, Andrej Sekera played a solid, smart game against the Capitals, yet fell right back into Stupidtown against the Devils, including his mental gaffe that led to the eventual game-winning goal.

- Derek Roy can’t manage to at least win one out of two key faceoffs in the Devils end during a 6-on-4 edge in the last half minute of the game.  The Sabres lost at least 10 to 15 seconds of possible comeback time because of the lost draws.

- Clarke MacArthur can pull together a beautiful move and shot like he did for the Sabres second goal last night, can score 6 goals in the first month of the season, and yet only ends up with 17 goals because of inconsistent effort and prolonged disappearing acts.

- most likely, the Buffalo Sabres final hockey game of the season will again be a meaningless regular season finale against the Boston Bruins.
